AGL advises AREA on successful retail warehouse fund investment.  

From the seed of an idea in early 2008 to closing in May 2009, AGL advised AREA Property Partners on their acquisition of a significant stake in the Junction retail warehouse fund. 

The transaction involved bringing together all interested parties in the Junction fund, including the largest investors Aviva, Hermes and Capital & Regional as well as the debt providers.
 
At the time AREA’s investment, the Junction fund comprised 11 Bulky Goods and Open A1 retail warehouse assets producing more than £45m pa. 
 
AREA’s investment was made at a unit price of around 18p.  Capital & Regional, the property and asset manager of the Junction, announced the unit price at the end of March 2010 to be around 37p.
