AGL has instigated some €2.0 billion of investment and development transaction in Germany since 2004

AGL became involved in the German market during 2003, with the main focus of activities in the retail sector. Highlights include:

• The initiation of a Joint Venture between a US investment fund and a Hamburg based private property company, enabling the fund to invest several hundred million euros into retail investment and development projects across Germany. We further advised the JV on the development and subsequent sale of a shopping centre in Baden-Baden.

• Advice to a UK Plc on their Joint Venture with a retail park specialist based near Cologne, facilitating their entry into the German market. We have since advised the Plc on acquisitions totalling €500 million.

• Investment and acquisition strategy advise advice for a number of private property companies. We have advised on a series of retail portfolio and single asset acquisitions totalling in excess of €500 million.

We are currently advising various funds on the acquisition of shopping centres, retail parks and other retail portfolios across Germany.

In addition to our brokerage and advisory skills , we have created a Joint Venture with GUV Managment called AGL Management Services GmbH to provide our clients with exactly the high level of managment skills that is required by overseas investors.
